Yorkshire BioScience offers a complete service for production, purification and modification of polyclonal antibodies according to the instructions of the customer. Our team will precisely determine the degree of immunogenicity and necessary modifications of the antigen, duration and cost of a project before immunisation.
 

Customer provides:
1-5 mg of antigen per rabbit.
You can send us the peptide or we can synthesise it for you.

Standard service:
Polyclonal Antibodies against peptides and proteins (immunisation, bleeds, IgG precipitation);
Assay of the antiserum titer with ELISA.

Extra services:
Testing the antigen (protein assay, SDS-PAGE);
Peptides synthesis;
Peptide conjugation to a carrier (see Additional services);
Affinity IgG isolation from antiserum;
Other hosts: mouse, rat, goat, sheep.
 

Customer receives:
Total IgG (ammonium sulphate suspension, 33% saturation) or monospecific IgG;
Sample of preimmune serum;
Complete documentation of the experiments.
 

Duration: 11-14 weeks

Protocols: typical immunisation, titer assay, IgG purification, recovery and storage.

Typical immunisation scheme for standard service:
Day 1: Preimmune bleed. ELISA. First immunisation;
Day 28:First boost immunisation;
Day 42: Second boost immunisation;
Day 52: First bleed 50ml. Third boost immunisation;
Day 62: Second bleed 50ml. ELISA.

Extras: The animals will be kept for two weeks for free after the day of antibodies delivery to a customer. Customer then has an option to order another boost(s) and bleed(s) including terminal one (up to 100ml) for an additional charge of £75 per animal. We can also keep the rabbits for future bleeds at £60 per animal per month.
